Pastor Donald Burgs has
been preaching since
boyhood. A native Texan,
Pastor Burgs attended
the University of
Houston and Houston
Baptist University.
Prior to his pastoral
leadership at Alief
Baptist Church, he was a
Pastor at Greater
Macedonia Baptist Church
in Texas City and
Cathedral of Faith
Baptist Church in
Houston.
In addition to preaching
and teaching, Pastor
Burgs serves as a member
of the Ministerial
Advisory Board to the
Mayor of the City of
Houston, Ministerial
Advisory Board to
Congresswoman Sheila
Jackson Lee, Disaster
Relief Advisory
Board-Defense of
Houston, and Union
Baptist Association. He
is also an Advisor to
State Senator Rodney
Ellis.
Pastor Burgs preaches
from the Bible with one
thing in mind - saving
souls. His commitment to
raising up the
community's youth to
know and serve God is
evident by the numerous
youth activities and
programs offered at
Alief Baptist Church.
